Mini Ozarks in Kansas

This week I paddled at Cedar Creek Resevoir just southwest of Garnett, Ks. This is a very pretty lake that is surrounded by cedar trees, as well as oaks, walnuts, willows, maples etc. The shoreline is rocky and there are tall limestone bluffs. It is like mini-Ozarks in Kansas! My Humminbird depth-finder told me that the water was 69 degrees, and there were plenty of fish. The deepest part of the lake I found was 31 feet in the main channel towards the dam. It was a beautifully clear day of about 58 degrees with a slight wind. I had to praise the Lord for His handiwork!
